Kelly Moorhead, M.D.

Kelly Moorhead, M.D. Born in Boardman, Ohio as Kelly Reedy, Dr. Moorhead graduated as valedictorian from Boardman High School. She entered college at The Ohio State University. She completed her premedical education in the honors program, and was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Dr. Moorhead completed her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, and graduate cum laude in 1992. She was elected into the Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Dr. Moorhead entered into medical school at Wright State University. Here, she met and married Colin Moorhead. She relocated her family to Akron, Ohio to accept a residency position at Akron General Medical Center, due to their strong Internal Medicine program. Since completing her training in 1999, she has been practicing General Internal Medicine in greater Akron.

Colin Moorhead, MS, M.D.

Colin Moorhead, MS, M.D. Born and raised in northern Ohio, Dr. Moorhead attended Walsh Jesuit High School. He stayed rather local by attending Kenyon College in Gambier, where he completed his B.A. in Chemistry. Among many activities during his attendance, he was active in the chemistry department, theater department, and in the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He was elected into the Sigma Xi scientific society. After graduation, Dr. Moorhead completed a Master's of Science in Anatomy at Wright State University. He entered medical school at Wright State, where he was awarded the Versalias Award in Anatomy and attained the rank of third in his class. When his wife, Kelly, accepted a residency at Akron General Medical Center, they relocated to Akron, Ohio, where he completed his schooling at NEOUCOM. Prior to graduation, he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. He entered an internal medicine residency at Akron General Medical Center in 1998, and completed his training in 2001.

Together, the doctors have settled in Copley, where they are raising their three children. Upon completion of Dr. Colin Moorhead's training, they decided to open their own practice. After many arduous months, Northeastern Ohio Medical Specialists, Inc. opened its doors in western Akron late in November. The doctors specialize in a wide range of medical problems and have particular interest in aesthetic, or cosmetic, medicine.

Julie Wallace, M.D.

In 2006 we welcomed Dr. Julie Wallace to Northeastern Ohio Medical Specialists.  Dr. Wallace is a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, attending high school at Barberton High School.  She attended undergraduate school at the University of Cincinnati, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree.  Graduating in 1996 from Wright State University School of Medicine, Dr. Wallace went on to complete her residency at Akron’s own Akron General Medical Center.  During this time she was Chief Resident, a member of the Women’s Health Curriculum Committee and the Library Development Committee.  She also was a clinical instructor for Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
